About The Founder

Hi — I’m Kruti (Katie) Patel, founder of MODE Athleisure, and I’m based on the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia. MODE started as a passion project — and quickly became a mission close to my heart.

I created this brand because I’ve always loved fitness, movement, and the confidence that grows when we feel strong in our own bodies. Coming from an Indian background, the gym wasn’t something many women around me talked about or prioritised. But since 2019, training has changed everything for me — not just my body, but my mindset, confidence, and sense of self.

Through that journey, I noticed something missing.

Most gymwear was designed for “standard” sizes — not for women like me with a petite yet curvy frame. Waist gaps, awkward lengths, uncomfortable seams, unflattering fits — I experienced them all. And I knew I wasn’t alone.

So I decided to build the pieces I wished existed.
